When in doubt, go bigger.
A larger rug usually makes a room feel calmer and more intentional. Small rugs can make furniture feel disconnected.
How to measure
- 1. Mark the ideal rug footprint with tape.
- 2. Leave walking clearance around doors and cupboards.
- 3. Confirm furniture legs sit consistently on or off the rug.
